Matching angels? Do you mean two angels who are exactly the same? No we’re not talking about two similar angels. We’re talking about someone who’s family is so deeply blessed by being a Hope Angel that they have agreed to match the next 50 Hope Angels!
The opportunity to change the trajectory of a Rwandan family’s future is so easy through the Kugaba Initiative. When you decide to sponsor a student at Hope Haven Rwanda, you are supporting a student and their family in a desperate situation to help lift their prospects for tomorrow. Through prayer, support and friendship, you will be investing in a bright future for Rwanda.
God’s promise is clear: “The poor will see and be glad—you who seek God, may your hearts live! The Lord hears the needy.” Psalm 69:32-33).
We believe that the “needy” are very close to the heart of God. As a staff team, this sentiment is much more than words for us. Each one of the American team members featured in this week’s video is a Hope Angel. Here are a few of their reflections:
Sarah and Shadia
“Being a Hope Angel is such a blessing. I pray my relationship with Shadia will be long lasting and she knows there are no limits to what she can accomplish. I have been fortunate to have my husband and children meet Shadia and visit her home. This has allowed each of us to deepen our relationship and multiply the prayers and support Shadia and her father receive.”
Susan and Noah
“We had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Noah and his family twice on my recent trip. Noah has the confidence and drive that we look for in our Hope Haven students. Our family believes that Noah’s intelligence, persistence, and strong faith in God will catapult him into the medical field he desires to serve in. May God Bless his dream!”
Wendy and Jules Mourice
“We love praying for our Kugaba Kids and their families! We consider it an honor and privilege to do so. While we can’t control where we’re born, we can control what we use our wealth for. Blessing these children and their families is very important to us.”
Jason and Joyeuse
“I first met Joyeuse in October of 2017, and was immediately impressed by her passion for life. She lives up the beautiful meaning of her name: “joyous one!” She is a strong student, has a hard-working family, and is so grateful to be at Hope Haven. She loves Jesus, and is often asked to lead during student worship. There are great days ahead for this amazing young lady!”
