Secondary School
Superior Education
Holistic, Competitive, Successful
Rwanda education operates on a 6-3-3-4 system. After six years of Primary School, students who pass the National Exam are allowed to begin the first level of Secondary School called Ordinary or “O” Level. The first three years are equivalent to 7th, 8th and 9th grade in the U.S.
After passing the National Ordinary Examination, students can proceed to the Advanced or “A” Level, equivalent to 10th, 11th and 12th grades.
Hope Haven School, under a long-term strategic plan, is preparing to provide academic programs for all our students through the completion of the Advanced Level.
Following graduation, Hope Haven students will be qualified candidates to pursue higher education at a university or other tertiary institution.
Core Subjects
The secondary classes (“O” Level) at Hope Haven follow Competence Based Curriculum currently used in Rwanda.
