Growing by Faith
SECONDARY EXPANSION
OUR VISION
for future Christian leaders in Rwanda
The story of our ministry since day one is the same story we want for our students: Growing by Faith.
That’s why we are taking bold steps to expand the school campus and capacity of Hope Haven Rwanda.
THE EDUCATION CHALLENGE
- 4.6 million Rwandan children, ages 5-19
- 2 million attend school, and 2.6 million do not*
- 75% of children drop out of school between 6th and 12th grade
- 120:1 is the current student-teacher ratio, so children attend half-days to limit class size to 60 at one time
- No breakfast or lunch is served to children in the vast majority of schools
*According to the number of children taking National Exams in 2018
THE OPPORTUNITY IS OURS
Rwanda desperately needs secondary schools to successfully retain students through graduation.
Hope Have Rwanda brings the vision and track record to build one that can accommodate 810 local and boarding students from the Murindi community and beyond.
What a tremendous call and opportunity is ours – to shine the light of Jesus for others and give them the chance to shine too.
