Because of Hope Haven Rwanda‘s commitment to glorifying God in all of our operations, we strive for excellence! We believe the education and discipleship our students receive in Rwanda every day is building a framework which will propel them to distinguished service to God and others in many sectors.
As Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, we glorify God when we pursue excellence in service: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Practicing authentic Christian beliefs and values are the foundation of “letting our light shine.” To that end, since Hope Haven’s inception, we have been committed to academic excellence, outstanding staff, diverse extracurricular activities and strong community involvement.
We were recently invited to participate in a nationwide singing competition. This creative program was designed by the Rwandan government to help promote hygiene and Covid-19 prevention measures through songs and dance. Our Headmaster, Fred, worked with the faculty to prepare our students and they delivered winning performances!
These standout Hope Haven Rwanda students competed at both the sector and district levels. They not only scored higher than eleven other schools in the sector, their high scores enabled our sector to beat fourteen other sectors in the Gasabo District, which includes much of the capital city of Kigali!
During the final performance, excited district officials danced with our students while they performance at the Gasabo Auditorium! The winners were awarded new backpacks, face masks, t-shirts and school materials. We celebrate along with these outstanding performers—great work, team!
More importantly, we thank God that Hope Haven Rwanda is shining brightly in ways that will continue to glorify God throughout the nation of Rwanda!
