Your help is critical as the new Secondary School opens to over 600 students in October!

Nursery and Primary
In August, 430 three-year-olds participated in a lottery for a chance to earn a spot in our incoming Baby Class. There was no shortage of praise and gratitude from the winning parents. On September 26, our Nursery and Primary schools opened with 905 students – 405 Preschoolers and 500 first through sixth graders on campus.
Secondary
In early October, we welcomed nearly 500 students to Hope Haven Secondary School in grades 7 through 10 (Senior 1 through 4). Approximately 160 of these students have been attending Hope Haven and live in our community. They will shift over from the primary campus, move into the dormitories, and live on campus as they continue their secondary education.
An additional 340 new students will come from all regions of Rwanda to board and attend Hope Haven Christian Secondary School. These students performed will in their recent exams and were recommended by their former school leaders. Most are from families living in desperate poverty. With your support, they can attend Hope Haven and find hope for their future
Hope Haven Christian School is growing!
Enrollment is up 80% from last year to 1,500 students.
Staffing Additions
Over the summer we hired 38 new teachers, a chaplain, librarian and an IT director. The response was overwhelming with more than 1,200 applications, the largest number from within Rwanda!
In addition, we’ve hired cooks, cleaners and staff to support 24/7 dorm life. Many of these positions are filled by parents who live in the nearby communities.
Your Help is Critical
Full completion of the new Secondary School is in sight and your gift will help us equip the new campus for 615 students arriving in October! Listed are just some of the areas your support is needed. A gift of any amount will help us meet our goal.
At Hope Haven, the program cost of our ministry (serving the entire family) is $125 per month for every child. The Kugaba Initiative invites you to invest relationally in the life of one student, providing prayer and financial support as well as mentoring and encouragement through letter writing. Could you invest $4 per day to change the trajectory of a child’s life and lift up their entire family? There is a large gap between what each parent can provide and what each family needs for a hopeful future.
We begin the 2022 school year with an 80% increase in our student population to 1,500 students. That means more than 500 students are waiting for their Hope Angel. Will you join us?
